| A black male, American-coated Giant Schnauzer born March 6, 2006. His name means "peaceful victor," and in Norse mythology Zigfried is known for having defeated Queen Brunhild. His name is so fitting because he is such a gentle Giant who would rather snuggle than fight. He is also HUGE! On July 1, 2006, he weighed 34.4 pounds; on August 5, he was up to 52.4 pounds; as of February 3, 2007, Zig weighed 102 pounds -- he is a giant Giant! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Hi, I'm the latest arrival in the Land of O.Z.Z., arriving on June 30, 2006. I guess you can call me the baby of the family! (Obie calls me Baby Huey.) I'm a pretty laid back guy -- I really enjoy napping more than anything, but I can be a handful once I've caught up on my beauty sleep! (Ask Obie!) The Wiz says I remind her of Ferdinand the Bull because I like to stop and smell the flowers. The Wiz is surprised at how agile I am because I am so big. Frankly, I think Zora and Obie are surprised, too! But I'm not gonna let them punk me out! Nosirree! I may be the new kid on the block, and I may be young, but I'm not stupid. Zora is okay most of the time, although she gets really mad if I brush up against her when it's bedtime. She doesn't do that to Obie for some reason. (I think she's scared of him.) I LOVE water! When we go to the dog park, The Wiz lets us swim in White Rock Lake, and man is that a lot of fun! When we aren't able to go to the dog park, I cool off by placing my front paws in the water bucket, or by "swimming" in the LeBistro reservoir. For some reason, I don't think The Wiz cares for the mess I make when I do that. I'm having a lot of fun in the Land of O.Z.Z. Well, that's all I have to say for now -- my vocabulary isn't very large yet. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
